
Mechanical tellurium made of brass and cast iron. This scientific instrument is composed of paper-covered plaster spheres, representing the planets of the solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, the Moon, and Mars. At the center of the structure is a round top marked with the months and constellations of the year. A candle is placed on this top to simulate the sun. The rod arms are moved by a series of gears and a wooden crank. Round base.
